I Have The Form - What's Next
- All applicants must successfully complete a written (open book) test based on the Concealed Weapon Manual, administered by a person certified by the Attorney General. In addition to the written test, applicants for a Class 1 license must show familiarity with the weapon, and complete classroom instruction and proficiency testing.
- Most local law enforcement agencies conduct testing, or you can contact a civilian certified test administrator. Following successful completion of all testing requirements, the license applicant must complete and submit the form and required attachments to the local law enforcement agency.
- The completed application form must be submitted to law enforcement within thirty days of the testing date.
- For more information on testing and finding a test administrator, see: CONCEALED LICENSE TESTS
