The LifeSmarts program gives students the opportunity to learn consumer information that they can use now and for the rest of their lives. “Learn it. Live it.” Educating teens for the real world!
LifeSmarts, the Ultimate Consumer Challenge, is a FREE consumer education competition open to teens in grades 6-12. The competition tests students on their knowledge of
- Personal Finance
- Health and Safety
- Consumer Rights and Responsibilities
Educators: Please give your students the opportunity to enhance their consumer knowledge that they can use now and in the future.
Students: Take a practice quiz and see if you’re ready for the ultimate consumer challenge. Talk with your friends and form a team. Each team needs an adult sponsor or coach.
Schools may enter more than one coach, coaches may enter more than one team, but only two teams from a school may qualify for the state competition.
High School (grades 9-12) Online Competition
- September 9, 2013 to January 8, 2014.
Scores will be tabulated and the highest scoring teams will be invited to the State Competition, which will be held in Bismarck on February 5, 2014. The winning team at the State Competition will represent North Dakota at the National Competition in Orlando, Florida, April 26-29, 2014.
Middle School Competition (grades 6-8) Online Competition only
- September 9 to February 2014
Students in grades 6-8 will compete only online. National winners will be announced online after the competition closes.
